If you copy video files from your TiVo to your PC with TiVo2Go for transfer to a Pocket PC, Windows Mobile Smartphone or mobile device, the TiVo Wireless G 802.11g Wi-Fi adapter is for you. If you simply use your TiVo's wireless adapter to download program updates, slower 802.11b adapters work fine, but if you transfer large video files from your TiVo, you'll appreciate the 5X faster transfer rate of 802.11g.
An added benefit to the TiVo Wireless G adapter is its ability to connect to WPA protected wireless networks. The TiVo Wireless G adapter is required for WPA compatibility, though any compatible wireless adapter is capable of connecting to WEP enabled networks.
