The
Audiovox XV6600 Pocket PC Phone - Discontinued
Audiovox
XV6600 with Keyboard Extended
With
perhaps the most innovative PDA design
since the original iPAQ 3600, the Audiovox
XV6600 (also sold as the PPC-6601 by Sprint PCS)
offered the first Pocket PC constructed around
a slide-to-hide configuration. This
design had been made popular by mobile
phones like the Samsung
D415, so it was
only fitting that the XV6600 was the first Pocket
PC to take the plunge: the XV6600 is also a dual-band
CDMA PCS phone.
Originally available
from Verizon Wireless, the XV6600 is powered
by a 400MHz Intel Processor and has 128MB of RAM, a
64MB Flash ROM, onboard Bluetooth, and an SDIO
slot for use with Secure Digital flash memory
cards and SDIO peripherals.
The XV6600 has now been discontinued and replaced by the XV6700, a version of the HTC Apache. If you'd like to have a look at the XV6700, click here.
