This error is common among all Pocket PCs, not just the Dell X50 Series. It is caused when the syncing software of the Pocket PC has experienced an error of some type.
The best way to correct the problem is to perform a soft reset of your Pocket PC. Remove the Pocket PC from its cradle or connection cable and perform a soft reset. This is done by pressing the small recessed button the back, bottom or side of the unit. A soft reset "reboots" the Pocket PC, and restarts all of the software, including the synchronization utility.
