The
Jornada 928 running Pocket PC Phone Edition was
set to roll out sometime in Q3 of 2002 - that
is until the HP/Compaq merger became official
in May of that year. The merger effectively
killed the Jornada line as the new HP/Compaq
opted to make the popular iPAQ the Pocket
PC of the new company.
Some
reports seemed to indicate
that the Jornada 928 was sold, in limited number,
in Europe. However, the Jornada 928 was never
sold in the United States.
