If
the Jornada does not respond when the POWER button
is pressed.
Attach
the device to AC power and press the POWER button.
If the Jornada turns on, skip the remaining steps
and charge the battery. To charge the main battery,
connect the PDA to AC power. The LED/Notification
button on top of the PDA will turn amber when
the device is charging and green when charging
is complete.
Perform a soft reset on the Jornada while it is
attached to AC power and the battery is charging.
If the Jornada turns on, skip the remaining steps

the device is charging and green when charging
is complete.
If the previous steps did not resolve the issue,
perform a hard reset and reattach the AC adapter
before turning the Jornada back on.
CAUTION: A hard reset erases all user-entered
information from the device.
If the Jornada still will not turn on after completing
Solution 1 and Solution 2, contact HP Customer Care
to discuss having the unit sent in for repair.
