The
G1000, the first and only Pocket PC from Hitachi, was the first Pocket PC with an integrated thumb-keyboard. Like the i700
Pocket PC Phone from Samsung which followed it, the G1000
also featured an integrated digital camera
and functioned as a wireless digital phone
on CDMA wireless networks.
The G1000 was also the first Pocket
PC Phone with a 400MHz XScale processor, putting
it ahead of the T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone and
the Samsung i700 in terms of raw megahertz.
The Hitachi G1000 was available from Sprint PCS, but is no longer sold in-store. For a complete listing of current Pocket PC Phones, click here.
