News of the HTC Kaiser first surfaced in late March 2007, and at that time we suggested that it was destined to replace the AT&T 8525 (one of our favorite Windows Mobile phones of the time). Shortly after the FCC approved the new handheld for sale in the United States, we learned that the Kaiser would be sold as the AT&T Tilt.
The HTC Kaiser has several features never before seen on a Windows Mobile device. The first is a flip-up screen (seen above), which configures the Kaiser a lot like a notebook when the unit's keyboard is exposed. Another new feature of the Kaiser is a 2.8MP digital camera, which is the highest-resolution camera available on a Windows Mobile Smartphone.
