The
original iPAQ, the h3600 Series iPAQ Pocket PCs, have been discontinued
and replaced by several subsequent
iPAQ lines.
With an innovative design, a fast
processor, and Flash ROM (which makes the unit's
OS upgradeable), this Pocket PC was destined to
become a favorite among PDA users. Another unique
feature, this Pocket PC had expansion jackets that
made it possible to use external devices without
having a bulky base unit. As Pocket PCs evolved, external jackets were no longer necessary to accommodate expansion ports.
This version of the iPAQ shipped with Pocket PC
2000 as its operating system, but the model can be
upgraded to Pocket PC 2002.
