Apple iPod touch
The iPod touch was introduced in 2007 as an iPhone-styled iPod without telephony hardware. The touch is basically an iPhone without the phone, a touchscreen iPod with Multi-Touch, Cover Flow, Wi-Fi, the Safari web browser, email and weather.
The iPod touch is quite thin, thinner even than the original iPhone at only 0.3-inches think. It features the same 3.5" touchscreen display, great for watching movies, TV shows and online video (yeah, there's YouTube, too). The touch also includes the iTunes Wi-Fi Music store, a way to download music even when you're away from your computer; when you sync the iPod touch with your PC or Mac, the purchased music syncs back to iTunes, too. The iTunes Wi-Fi Store offers the same price as music selection as the full version (no Wi-Fi videos yet).
Available in three capacities, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, the iPod touch was discontinued in 2008 with the release of the 2nd Generation iPod touch. You can still find the 1st Gen iPod touch for sale on eBay and Amazon.com.
