September 18, 2006 - Samsung has been busy in other parts of the world since releasing the i730 Pocket PC Phone in the United States in mid-2005. Now comes word of another States-bound PPC Phone from Samsung, the IP-830w.
With a form-factor almost identical to that of the i730, the Samsung IP-830w will feature the Windows Mobile 5 operating system, a 520MHz XScale processor, onboard Bluetooth peer-to-peer wireless, about 70MB of flash memory storage free to the end user, and EV-DO, so-called Mobile Broadband, which allows you to surf the web at speeds up to 700kbps. It appears that Wi-Fi is not included on the IP-830w.
There's no word yet on U.S. availability.
