Extended batteries offer extra hours of use per charge for your smartphone, something that – for many – is worth quite a bit. Fortunately, if you’re a Samsung Galaxy S III owner, this benefit doesn’t have to cost much at all.
At $22, the QCell Samsung Galaxy S III Extended Battery Kit is a bargain. For that price you get not only a 4200mAh Li-Ion battery (double the capacity of the included battery), but two replacement battery covers for the phone: one blue, one white.
The battery is also NFC friendly, so you’re ready to go with Google Beam and Google Wallet – if you use either feature.
The Amazon.com reviews are glowing, with five out of five stars as of this writing.

Unlike hard drive prices, the cost of microSD cards continue to fall. In fact, you can now get a Class 2 SanDisk 16GB microSDHC memory card at Amazon.com for just $5.95 plus shipping.
This is a fantastic deal, particularly considering that at big-box retail stores like Wal-Mart and Office Depot a 16GB microSD card can cost as much as $25 or $30.
Price may change at any time.
OtterBox, maker of many popular ruggedized cases for smartphones, has introduced two new cases for the new Motorola Droid RAZR: the Droid RAZR Defender Series Case and the Droid RAZR Commuter Series Case.
The two cases are form fitted to the RAZR Android smartphone. The Defender Series case (left) offers the most protection with three layers and includes a belt clip holster; the Commuter Series (right) has two layers of protection and lacks a holster. The Defender is available only in black while the Commuter comes in your choice of black or blank and pink.
The MSRP for the two cases is $49 for the Defender and $34 for the Commuter. Each case will begin shipping in the next few days.
Find out more at OtterBox.com. Also, Amazon.com currently has each of the new cases for order for a few dollars below the MSRP (Defender $45, Commuter $28).

The price of 32GB microSD – or more accurately microSDHC – cards continues to fall. Three months ago, the cheapest 32GB card was just under $50; today the SanDisk 32GB microSD card has hit a new low: $36.90 shipped at Amazon.com.
microSD cards widely used in smartphones, but can also be used with other devices like digital cameras by adding an SD card adapter.
You can save a great deal by purchasing memory cards online rather than in retail stores. Even bargain stores like Wal-Mart often sell 32GB microSDHC cards for $60 or more.
