It’s difficult not to love the upcoming Droid DNA Android phone, even without having seen or touched one.  The HTC handset boasts just about every high-end feature a smartphone could offer, and then there’s the screen…

The Droid DNA’s screen is a large 5-inch Super LCD protected by Gorilla Glass 2, which is pretty great in itself, but the touchscreen also boasts the highest pixel density of any smartphone: 440PPI.  That’s more than 100 pixels per inch more than the iPhone 5.  This results in a display resolution of 1080×1920, which is the same as many 21 and 22-inch monitors.

The DNA also includes a quad-core S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, a microSDXC memory card slot, LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an 8MP camera with 1080p video recording.

Verizon Wireless will sell the Droid DNA for $199 with a two-year contract starting November 19th.  Find out more here.

HTC One X in Gray and WhiteBuy an HTC One X from AT&T and you’ll shell out $199 with a two-year service agreement, whether you’re already an account holder or signing up for service for the first time.  Buy the same Android phone from Amazon.com as a new AT&T subscriber, and the price falls a bit to $169.

However, in a rather unusual offering, Amazon is currently selling the HTC One X, both in gray and white, for only $119 for current AT&T account holders eligible for an upgrade.  This is odd since the price for upgrading through third-party sellers like Amazon is usually equal to or greater than the price for those signing up for new accounts with new contracts.

So, if you’ve been eying the HTC One X and had been holding off to save a little coin, now may be the time to jump.

After weeks of delays stemming from Apple’s patent litigation, the HTC One X has finally made its way back to AT&T and other third-party retailers in the U.S.

AT&T now has both the gray and white One X’s in stock at $199 with a two-year contract.  Amazon Wireless has the gray One X in stock for shipping today for $179 with contract; the white model is not yet in stock at Amazon.

Hopefully, all of the U.S. Customs foolishness with HTC Android handsets is over, but this may be just a temporary break in the patent wars.

Stay tuned.

Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTEIt’s been a long wait for this high-end smartphone, but the wait appears to be over. Sprint now has the HTC EVO 4G LTE in stock and ready to ship for $199 with a two-year service contract.

Third-party retailers are slowing getting the handset as well.  Amazon and Wirefly have the EVO 4G LTE ready to ship in days or weeks, and for $50 less than Sprint, $149.
