It’s difficult not to love the upcoming Droid DNA Android phone, even without having seen or touched one. The HTC handset boasts just about every high-end feature a smartphone could offer, and then there’s the screen…
The Droid DNA’s screen is a large 5-inch Super LCD protected by Gorilla Glass 2, which is pretty great in itself, but the touchscreen also boasts the highest pixel density of any smartphone: 440PPI. That’s more than 100 pixels per inch more than the iPhone 5. This results in a display resolution of 1080×1920, which is the same as many 21 and 22-inch monitors.
The DNA also includes a quad-core S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, a microSDXC memory card slot, LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an 8MP camera with 1080p video recording.
Verizon Wireless will sell the Droid DNA for $199 with a two-year contract starting November 19th. Find out more here.

Verizon Wireless was the first of the four major U.S. wireless companies to deploy LTE in any meaningful way, and competitors like AT&T and Sprint continue to play catch-up.
And while the spread of Verizon’s LTE coverage has taken longer than some had hoped, it’s now picking up steam in a big way:
Today, the company announced that its LTE network will cover “more than 70 percent of the U.S. population,” when new and expanded networks come online tomorrow.
This is great news for Verizon customers since most new smartphones and tablets sold by the carrier are compatible with LTE, which can offer blazingly-fast download speeds above 20Mbps under optimal conditions, far faster than 3G EV-DO or HSDPA.
After the break, you can see a list of cities where LTE will become available for the first time, in addition to locations where LTE coverage will be expanded.

The Android Samsung Galaxy S III superphone was by no means a secret before today, but this is the day we got official details for three of the four major U.S. wireless carriers’ plans for the handset.
Sprint and T-Mobile announced this morning that their own versions of the Galaxy S III will ship on June 21 – just a few weeks from now. Each carrier will offer both 16GB and 32GB versions of the S III, and each will have a dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The price will be $199 and $249 respectively, and the phone will be available in either blue or white. Pre-orders begin soon.
Verizon will also begin selling the Samsung S III “in the coming weeks” with 2GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.5GHz processor onboard. Pre-orders begin June 6th. While the press release didn’t give an exact date, chances are the LTE Verizon version will be available for sale around June 21. Same price tiers, $199 for 16GB and $249 for 32GB.
Other features of the Samsung S III include Android 4.0, a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display, an 8MP primary camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera.
