Cingular 3125 Smartphone with Windows Mobile 5

Cingular 3125 Smartphone

Since the first smartphones came on the market a couple of years ago, people have been clamoring for a device offering all the benefits of a smartphone without the bulk.  Many of these users need basic PIM functionality, but prefer a smartphone that looks and feels more like a traditional mobile phone.

With that in mind, allow me to introduce you to the Cingular 3125, one of the newest Windows Mobile smartphones on the market today.  There’s a lot to like about the 3125, particularly if you’re one of those people looking for a full-featured smartphone that looks more like a traditional clamshell.  If your needs are simple and you’re not into bulk, the Cingular 3125 is just what you’re looking for [CHECK PRICES].

Cingular 3125 Product Brief

The Cingular 3125 is a Windows Mobile 5 smartphone, which is different from a Pocket PC Phone in that it runs a stripped-down version of the Windows Mobile OS and lacks a touchscreen.  As the name suggests, the Cingular 3125 is available only to Cingular Wireless customers, but because the 3125 is actually the HTC StrTrk (Star Trek), other U.S. GSM wireless providers may adopt the handset in the future.

Primary features of the Cingular 3125 include a 2.2” full-color LCD display, a 195MHZ TI OMAP 850 ARM-based processor, 128MB of flash memory (file, program storage), 64MB of RAM (system memory), Bluetooth peer-to-peer wireless, a microSD flash memory card slot, a 1.3MP digital camera and an 1100mAh Lithium Ion battery.  There’s no Wi-Fi on the 3125, and until someone introduces a microSD wireless adapter, you’ll have to rely on Cingular’s network for  Internet access.

Included with the Cingular 3125 is an AC adapter, a USB sync cable (with a non-standard connector on the phone-end), a charge/sync splitter, a DC car power charger, a headphone/headset combo, a software CD-ROM and a User Manual.  There is no case included, so you’ll need to find one on your own.
