The Galaxy S2 family of Android-powered smartphones, the follow-up to last year's Galaxy S series, has arrived in the U.S. The second of the S2 models available is being sold by AT&T simply as the Galaxy S II (there's also an updated model from AT&T, the Galaxy S II Skyrocket).
The AT&T Galaxy S II, like its sister models on T-Mobile and Sprint, features a dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard flash storage, an 8MP/1080p camera, and a Super AMOLED 4.3-inch touchscreen display.
The smartphone is also compatible with AT&T's "4G" HSPA+ high speed data network, as well as regular ol' 3G.
AT&T began offering its Galaxy S2 model on October 2, 2011, for an on-contract price of $199; this price has since been lowered to $99. Better pricing can be found from Amazon.com.
