Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android Smartphone Information (Sprint)

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android 4 Smartphone Verizon now shares Google's 2012 flagship Android Phone with a CDMA competitor; the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has arrived at Sprint in the U.S.

The Galaxy Nexus sold by Verizon features a TI OMAP 4460 dual-core processor running at 1.2GHz; rumors had surfaced before its release that the Sprint version might have a 1.5GHz processor instead, but there's been no change at all. In fact, the hardware of the Sprint and Verizon versions of the Galaxy Nexus are virtually identical.

Features include an HD 4.65-inch AMOLED 720p touchscreen, 32GB of onboard storage, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, and LTE compatibility for Sprint, though the carrier's LTE coverage is, at this point, very limited.

Sprint hasn't disabled Google Wallet on their Galaxy Nexus.

Sprint has yet to update their Galaxy Nexus to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. While the GSM model of the Galaxy Nexus has received the update, there's no word on when the CDMA versions might see the same.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is available from Sprint for $199 with a two-year contract. Third-party retailers are already beating this price; as more begin selling the new phone, we'll post links below.
