Motorola Devour Android 2.0 Smartphone

Motorola's second Android smartphone, the Devour A555, arrived at Verizon Wireless in early 2010 and was discontinued later that year.

Featuring the same MOTOBLUR software found on other Android phones from Motorola in early 2010, the Devour was aimed squarely at users who are active with social networking.

Unlike other Android phones, the Devour's shell is formed of annodized aluminum, giving it an extremely solid look and feel. The slider smartphone runs the Android OS 1.6 and features a 600Mhz Qualcomm processor, a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, and 5+ hour battery life.

There are also hundreds of Android apps for the Motorola Devour.

An OS upgrade to Android 2.1 was expected, but never materialized.
