T-Mobile has a new Windows Mobile Smartphone on the horizon - the Shadow II (seen left in a user photo), which will replace, presumably, the current T-Mobile Shadow. The T-Mobile Shadow II will run Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard (non-touchscreen) and may be the first Windows Mobile handset from T-Mobile to work with that company's HotSpot@Home Wi-Fi VoIP service.
Aside from this UMA, or Unlicensed Mobile Access, technology, little is known about the Shadow II. Obviously, the new Shadow must have onboard Wi-Fi if it is to work as a wireless VoIP handset. We also know that the Shadow II will be a re-branded version of the HTC CONV100. Specs such as memory, processor, etc., are as yet unknown, though it's safe to assume that the new handheld will feature Bluetooth 2.0 and a camera of some sort.
As more details become available, they will be posted here. Check back in the coming weeks for more information. Have information or questions about the T-Mobile Shadow II? E-mail us.
