Sprint PCS PPC-6700 PPC Phone (open)
The Sprint PCS PPC-6700 Pocket PC Phone was the first in the United States to run the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. Sprint recently announced the successor to the PPC-6700, the HTC Mogul.
Sold in other parts of the world as the HTC Apache, the PPC-6700 Pocket PC Phone is the CDMA answer to Samsung's i730. Small and sleek, the PPC-6700 features a slide-to-hide QWERTY keyboard, but rather than sliding down, the keyboard of the PPC-6700 slides out to the left, allowing you to view the screen of the unit in landscape mode when typing.
Loaded with almost every possible feature available at release, the PPC-6700 is perfect for anyone on the go. Features include a 416MHz XScale processor, a 128MB ROM, 64MB of RAM, Bluetooth 1.2, 802.11b Wi-Fi, a miniSD flash memory card slot, a 1.3MP digital camera and camcorder, and compatibility with Sprint's high-speed EV-DO "Mobile Broadband" wireless network.
