T-Mobile G-Slate Android Tablet from LG

If you're looking for a mainstream Android 3.0 tablet in mid-2011 you have to main choices: the Verizon Wireless Motorola XOOM and T-Mobile's LG G-Slate.

Similar to the XOOM in many respects, the G-Slate is powered by the same Tegra 2 SoC with two 1GHz application cores and nVidia GeForce graphics.  Also like the XOOM, the G-Slate has a larger screen than most current Android tablets, measuring 8.9-inches on the diagonal.

One standout feature of the G-Slate is its integrated 3D support.  The screen can display 3D video and games (with compatible glasses), and even record 3G video with its rear stereoscopic camera.

Other features include 32GB of onboard flash storage, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a rear-facing 5MP camera for still photos and 1080p video capture, HDMI output (720p, 1080p and 3D), accelerometer and gyroscopic sensors, a front-facing camera for video chat, and support for T-Mobile's "4G" data network.

The G-Slate is now available from T-Mobile for $399 after a $200 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement.
